![]() ![]() I personally find I gravitate towards the colors in the Warm Palette but this one is really quite stunning. The pigment is smooth and soft with medium but buildable coverage. The combination isn’t neutral like the others but it makes for a beautiful look. Violet Argente is the most interesting option with a soft pink mauve satin blush, soft pink highlighter, pale pink satiny shimmer shadow, warm rose with silver and gold shimmer, soft bronze and a bright but deep violet glittery shade. I received this one as a press sample but have purchased the other three in Warm and Cool Winter Soleil and the Solar Exposure Palette last year and love them. Up first is the most stunning option the Soleil Eye and Cheek Palette in Violet Argente ($155). There are also two more shades of the Lip Slick in Spiked Cherry and Red Nectar but I haven’t had a chance to check those out yet. I don’t have this year’s to compare to see if it’s the same, but if it is, it’s a beautiful smooth moisturizer that is hydrating and radiant without looking greasy or too dewy. ![]() I have last year’s version which I purchased and it’s lasted a long time. There are a few other items in the collection not featured including the Radiant Moisture Souffle. There is a new Soleil Eye and Cheek Palette called Violet Argente, a new Sheer Cheek Duo called Lavender Lure and a new lip formula called Lip Slick in which I have two shades Hibiscus Kiss and Bitten Berry to swatch for you. The pieces are more on the cool-toned side and have a very pretty mauvey undertone perfect to transition from fall to winter. And oh! - there’s always a big scene involving rain, immediately after which emotions are poured out. This holiday Tom Ford Beauty Soleil Winter Collection 2017 brings us some new makeup in a palette, cheek color and lips. Sleepy seaside Southern towns are also frequently in the mix, as are scenes at the beach. There are always star-crossed lovers, of course, who either like each other right off the bat, or despise each other, but really like each other but don’t want to admit it, and sometimes there are extraneous forces or a misunderstanding/epic secret keeping them apart. Is it just me, or are all Nicolas Sparks movies more or less the same? I’m pretty sure I’ve seen it before, but I’m not 100% sure. Sorry, it took me a second to remember that guy’s name because I always confuse him wtih Timothy Olypahnt, so when I picture Josh Duahmal’s face, I’m like, is that Fergie’s husband or that other guy from Justified? They could be twins! Nicolas Sparks moviesĪnd in another installment of “Karen Takes Three Days to Watch a Movie,” our heroine re-watches a Nicolas Sparks movie on Netflix called Safe Haven, starring Juliana Hough and Josh Duhamel… You can find both of them now, along with the rest of the Tom Ford 2017 Summer Soleil collection, at Tom Ford counters and online. ![]() If you’re still itching to splash some cash, I’d say go for the Highlighting Duo, because the highlighters also double as eyeshadows! I’m wearing the rose gold shade on my lids (applied with a wet brush). Yes, the TF Duos are gorgeous, sure, but I don’t think they’re as earth-shattering as, say, the Cream Shadows from this collection (SWOON, baby, SWOON). Paradise Lust on my cheeks and Reflects Gilt on my lids and upper cheekbones The pearl particles are finer, but ya know what? I don’t think most makeup lovers will notice a difference in real life. I feel like Tom’s shimmery and glittery duos are more nuanced than the NARS blushes, and the powder particles sit closer to the skin, making them look more natural, especially outdoors in sunlight. That’s Paradise Lust on my cheeks and Reflects Gilt on my lids and upper cheekbones Reflects Gilt looks a little like NARS Jubilation, and Paradise Lust is similar to NARS Adoration. ![]() Tom Ford Sheer Highlighting Duo in Reflects Gilt ($78)īoth Reflects Gilt and Paradise Lust feel like the $45 NARS Dual Intensity Blushes, and they look like a couple of them too. ![]()
